Jajpur MP takes up key highway projects with NHAI .

Jajpur,21/09(ପିପିଟି ):Jajpur MP Dr. Rabindra Behera held discussions with senior officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) at its headquarters in New Delhi on Monday on various road infrastructure projects and connectivity issues concerning the district.

Dr. Behera met NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav, IAS, and Member Vishal Chauhan, IAS, and discussed the need for expediting ongoing and proposed highway projects in Jajpur.

Among the issues discussed were early completion of the Chandikhole–Duburi National Highway project, construction of a new Brahmani bridge at Jenapur and the proposed eight-lane Paradip–Chandikhole highway. The MP also raised the need for a service road between Kuakhia and Mulapal and underpasses at Rasulpur and Panikoili.

The proposed second underpass at Sathipur, which would provide connectivity to Jajpur town, was also discussed. The MP stressed the need to address local connectivity requirements while developing major highway corridors.

Dr. Behera also discussed the feasibility and need for constructing a new National Highway connecting Baruan through Aul to the proposed coastal highway network. The proposed connectivity, he said, could strengthen road infrastructure and improve access between different parts of the district and coastal areas.

The discussions focused on strengthening Jajpur’s highway network, improving road safety and easing the movement of commuters and goods. Dr. Behera said efforts would continue to improve road infrastructure and provide safer, faster and more convenient connectivity for people in the district.
