JAJPUR27/08(PPT):: An emotional moment unfolded during a Raksha Bandhan celebration at the Jarka Stadium in Dharmasala block of Odisha’s Jajpur district when a differently-abled girl tied a rakhi on the wrist of MLA Himanshu Shekhar Sahu.
The girl’s innocent affection and silent emotions deeply touched the legislator, leaving him visibly emotional. His eyes welled up with tears as he accepted the rakhi from her.
Speaking on the occasion, Sahu said that the girl’s pure affection and unspoken emotions had touched his heart deeply. He said Raksha Bandhan was not merely about tying a sacred thread but symbolised the enduring bond of love, trust and affection between a brother and sister.
“May this bond of love remain unbroken throughout our lives,” Sahu said, expressing his heartfelt wishes on the occasion.
