Actor Jhilik Bhattacharya donates 2 lakh for treatment of Jajpur girl.

JAJPUR,01/10(PPT): Odia actor and producer Jhilik Bhattacharya has extended financial assistance to 16-month-old Trishika Ray of Jajpur, who is undergoing treatment for a rare medical condition and requires substantial funds for her treatment.

Bhattacharya donated 2 lakh from the prize money she received for her film Lahari, which won the National Film Award for Best Odia Film at the 72nd National Film Awards. She said the award, which she received from the President, was one of the most valuable achievements of her life, and she chose to use the prize money to support Trishika’s treatment.

“I want Trishika to recover. The award I received from the President is one of the most precious assets of my life. I have decided to contribute that amount towards her treatment,” Bhattacharya said, while appealing to people to come forward and help the child.

Several individuals have already contributed towards Trishika’s treatment. Bhattacharya’s contribution has been welcomed by people in Jajpur and elsewhere as an act of compassion and solidarity with the family during a difficult period.
