Rajanigandha’ Cassette by Jajpur SDPO Released at Guru Pujan Utsav.
JAJPUR06/09(PPT): A Guru Pujan Utsav was organised at the Binapani Kala Peetha at Gandhi Chhak, near Chandikhol in Jajpur district, to mark the significance of Guru Divas and honour personalities associated with education, literature, art and social service.
The programme was presided over by Binapani Kala Peetha president Bipin Bihari Swain. Jajpur Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sarat Chandra Patra attended the event as the chief guest. Social worker Minati Sahu was the chief speaker, while noted children’s writer Dr Priyanath Mahapatra, Sahaspur College principal Dr Satyabrata Prusty and Biju Patnaik Degree College principal Dr Jayshree Mallik attended as guests of honour.
The speakers highlighted the importance of teachers and the enduring role of the guru in shaping individuals and society.
During the programme, several personalities from the fields of art, culture, education and social service were felicitated. Those honoured included noted Odissi dancer Kalpana Nayak, singer Bobi Anusuya, social worker Chinmayee Das, Barsha Priyadarshini Jena, Ramesh Chandra Rout, headmistress Jyotsnamayee Sahu, Suchitra Jena, Truptimayee Samal, Jajpur Pala Gayak Sangha president Rabindra Narayan Kar, Pala singer Batakrishna Behera, retired headmaster Batakrishna Swain and Ajit Kumar Saran.
The highlight of the programme was the release of “Rajanigandha,” a cassette featuring lyrics written by Jajpur Road SDPO Sarat Chandra Patra. The album has been produced by Binapani Kala Peetha, with music direction by Bipin Bihari Swain.
The programme concluded with a special Guru Vandana dance performance by students of Binapani Kala Peetha.
