Flood-hit residents meet CM, seek Madanpur Cut project .

Jajpur,29/09(PPT): A delegation of flood-affected residents from Jajpur and Kendrapara districts, led by members of the Banya Anchal Gana Mukti Abhiyan, met Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday and submitted a memorandum seeking early implementation of the Madanpur Cut project in Pattamundai block of Kendrapara district to address recurring flooding along the Brahmani river. The delegation met the Chief Minister in the presence of Dharmasala MLA Himanshu Sekhar Sahoo and BJP Odisha spokesperson Manoj Mohapatra and urged the State government to take expeditious steps towards the project and strengthen measures to mitigate the impact of floods in the affected areas. Representatives from both Jajpur and Kendrapara districts were part of the delegation.
