Four Held as Police Foil Plan to Rob Gold Shop in Jajpur .

Jajpur,24/09(PPT): Kuakhia police in Jajpur district foiled an alleged plan to rob a gold jewellery shop at Haripur and arrested four persons, police said. The accused were allegedly preparing to carry out the robbery when a police team conducted a raid and apprehended them. Various weapons, chilli powder, liquor and other articles allegedly meant to be used in the crime were seized from their possession.

Jajpur Road SDPO Sarat Chandra Patra disclosed the details at a press conference in the presence of Kuakhia police station inspector-in-charge Sushant Kumar Sethi. Police said an investigation was under way to ascertain the antecedents of the arrested persons and their possible involvement in other criminal activities. Further details of the seized weapons and other materials were not immediately available.
