Sudarsan Pattnaik honours Captain Smit Machchhar with sand art .

PURI,02/10(PPT): Renowned sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik paid tribute to Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar with a special sand sculpture at Puri beach on Thursday.

The artwork carried the message, “Salute to #CaptainSmitMachchhar — Get Well Soon!” Pattnaik said the sculpture was a tribute to the pilot’s reported courage and efforts to safeguard passengers aboard a Flydubai flight.

Sharing photographs of the artwork on social media, Mr. Pattnaik wished Captain Machchhar a speedy recovery and good health.
