He accused the BJP Government of remaining “indifferent” and “in a deep slumber,” showing an utter lack of response to the opposition and the suffering of the people. women, students, and minor girls across the state have become increasingly unsafe, with incidents of rape, molestation, domestic violence, and murder “making daily headlines.” Said Ghadei. He accused the government of being preoccupied with “self-promotion and propaganda,” stating that the people of Odisha have now realized that the “Double Engine Government” has proved to be “insensitive.” The BJP government in the state has rampantly looted mineral resources and distributed mines to private companies in the past 18 months, claimed Ghadei. Instead,it is busy spreading false propaganda. Incidents of violence against women have risen sharply.Crimes, particularly against women, continue to occur even during the visits of the prime minister to the state, suggesting that law and order has collapsed entirely,” said Ghadei. “He (the PM) may come and go, but the law-and-order situation here remains unchanged. Crimes against women and children are increasing day by day, yet the state government continues to boast about fake achievements. The BJP’s slogan of ‘Odia Asmita’ (Odia pride) has turned into a mockery,” he added. the BJP is promoting its one-year rule with the slogan “One Year, Many Achievements”, but in reality, ranking eighth among states with the highest crime rates is one of their “achievements”. Said Ghadei.
