Odisha developed significantly in Naveen’s tenure ;Bobby

Jajpur,07/12(PPT): Former MLA and BJD organisational secretary Pranab Prakash Das, popularly known as Bobby Das, has said that come whatever it may, he would continue to serve the people of Jajpur in any manner he can. Pranab said his detractors have a deep conspiracy to pull him down, tarnish his image and belittle his achievements. But he was with the people and continues to stand with them. Pranab further expressed his deep gratitude to the people of the district and stated “My deep gratitude to the people of my Jajpur for blessing me time and again, showering me with their blessings and permitting me to serve them. Also, I think that during the tenure of BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik we have always tried to do an excellent job and we have much to be proud of our government contribution for the development of the State and district” he said. During the tenure of former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik due to his good governance, Odisha saw a growth in all development indicators. Poverty came down from 68 .3 per cent in 20026 to 11.07 per cent, pulling out 6.2 million people from below the poverty line. Rice production increased 50 times.The per capita income in the State tripled. It now stands at Rs 1.6 lakhs per annum. Besides, Patnaik made Odisha a hub for hockey and training, he said. Commenting on the general election results, Pranab said, “ That’s in the hands of people. In a democracy, you either win or lose. Having been defeated after a long time, we must always take the verdict of the people gracefully. I have always said that the Jajpur people are my family and I will continue to serve them till my last breath whether I win or lose.” He expressed concern over the alleged deterioration in the law and order situation in the state under the BJP government. Pranab called upon the party leaders and workers to work jointly and serve the people as the law and order situation has been “deteriorating” in the state. “During our government, many developmental activities were being done and the law and order situation was well under the control of the government,” Pranab said. He also suggested to party leaders to serve the people. “We can return to power again if we fight for the rights of the people,” He said. “Naveen rules in the heart of people. All Odias love him and they want to see the state grows under his leadership,”said Pranab “bjd government has always stood by the poor and weaker sections of the society. I will continue to do whatever possible on my part for the people of this area till by last breath,” Pranab said emotionally.
