Born in Satyabhamapur,Cuttack district in 1848 Madhubabu is revered as the architect of Odisha’s formation. Dharmasala MLA Himanshu sekhar Sahoo paid floral tributes to Madhubabu’s statue, honoring his legacy. He Said Madhusudan Das was instrumental in the formation of a linguistically unified Odisha and contributed significantly to the state’s industrial development. As a barrister, he achieved great success, and his entrepreneurial spirit led to the establishment of Utkal Tannery, which he founded using his own capital when faced with limited options. Madhubabu’s contributions to Odisha are immeasurable, and his legacy continues to inspire generations. His vision and perseverance paved the way for an independent Odisha, earning him the title of “Utkal Gourav” and cementing his place as a symbol of Odia pride.
