In Jajpur: Protestors removed from gate no. 4 of Tata plant,Kalinga Nagar.

Jajpur,30/01(PPT): The district administration has removed the protesters from the gate number 4 of the Kalinganagar Tata plant.The police have removed the displaced families sitting in protest in front of the gate number 4 by using force. As per reports, police removed the protestors from Gate no. 4 of the Tata plant in Kalinga Nagar where the displaced families were protesting. However, protest is going on in front of other gates of the plant. Administrative talks with the protestors have failed. Police personnel have been deployed in front of the Tata gate. The district administration has made the transportation of employees and goods inside the plant normal. Jajpur Collector, DIG (Central) Charan Singh Meena, Jajpur SP Yash Pratap Shrimal are present at the scene. More than 10 platoons of police are monitoring the law and order situation. Meanwhile Hira Munda,Sumitra Ghoi and Tuli Mahanat lodged FIRs against security guards of the plant at Kalinganagar police station yesterday alleging atrocities by the guards. They have alleged that they were subjected to unspeakable torture. Based on the complaint, the police have detained three security guards of Tata-run Nilachal Steel.They are investigating on the basis of CCTV footage.The opposition party of Biju Janta Dal (BJD) condemned the ill treatment of the displaced people at the hands of the Tata Steel security. The displaced people staged a protest in front of the gate of Tata Steel-run NINL at Kalinga Nagar Industrial Complex in Jajpur. “The people were displaced of their lands and in their lands the Industrial Complex was established. They were promised to get employment in the NINL factory,” said BJD leader Pritiranjan Gharai in a press meet at the Sankha Bhawan. On Tuesday night, the displaced inhabitants of the area protested. However, the Tata Steel authorities ordered the security to lathi charge on them. The security men thrashed the protesters both women and men and two people and 1 woman was critically injured and hospitalized. They were beaten, thrashed and subjected to humility.
