BJP government working for the people, says party spokesperson Manoj Mohapatra .

Jajpur,11/06(PPT): BJP spokesperson Manoj Mohapatra has said that the BJP’s double-engine government in Odisha is committed to serving the people and fulfilling the promises made during the elections.

Addressing a public gathering at Bari in Jajpur, Mohapatra said the BJP government has made significant progress within a short period and has delivered on several key commitments. He described the state government as a “people’s government” that is working to bridge the gap between the administration and citizens.

“The people of Odisha elected us with high expectations, and we accepted the responsibility of fulfilling the aspirations of 4.5 crore people. Despite being a new government and facing comparisons with the previous administration, we have worked tirelessly to implement our promises,” he said.

Mohapatra highlighted the government’s public grievance hearing programme, ‘Jana Sunani,’ as a major initiative to strengthen public engagement. He said Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directly interacted with around 12,000 people through 11 grievance hearing programmes and that many issues were resolved on the spot.

He further stated that the Chief Minister plans to visit every Assembly constituency during the second year of the government’s tenure to strengthen grassroots-level governance and public outreach.

According to Mohapatra, the government’s vision for a prosperous Odisha rests on four key pillars—livelihood, infrastructure, social security and welfare, and the preservation of Odia identity. He said these priorities have been reflected in the state’s first budget under the BJP government.

As part of efforts to ensure transparency and accountability, the government is introducing a Work Pass Book system that will provide detailed information on infrastructure projects and enable greater public oversight, he added.

Mohapatra appealed to elected representatives and citizens to extend their cooperation in achieving the goal of building a “Viksit Odisha” and contributing to the vision of a developed India.
