MLA Himanshu Sahoo calls for stronger women’s participation in Dharmasala BJP .

JAJPUR, 26/09(PPT): Dharmasala MLA Himanshu Sekhar Sahoo held an interaction with the president and members of the BJP’s women’s wing at the party office in Kumari in Jajpur district, with discussions focusing on strengthening the organisation, women’s empowerment and public service.

Mr. Sahoo discussed measures to expand the party’s organisational activities at the grassroots and encouraged women office-bearers and workers to maintain regular contact with people and take up issues concerning local communities. He stressed the importance of greater participation of women in social and public affairs.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on women’s empowerment, Mr. Sahoo said the party was committed to promoting women’s dignity, self-reliance and wider participation in community activities in the Dharmasala Assembly constituency. “Women’s strength is the foundation of our organisation, public service is our commitment and the comprehensive development of Dharmasala is our goal,” he said.

The meeting also discussed improving coordination among women workers and strengthening public outreach so that local concerns could be taken up more effectively.
