Two siblings drown in the river

Jajpur, (25/03/2021): Two siblings including a minor drowned in the river Kharasrota near Chintapalli village under Jajpur Sadar police station of Jajpur district on Thursday while taking bath in the river.

They drowned after accidentally slipping into the deep river. Both the deceased have been identified as Dibakar Chanda(18) and his younger brother Dinabandhu Chand (15) . Dibakar was reading in plus two Arts in a college whereas Dinabandhu was reading in Class X in the village school.

Their father Kanhu Charan Chand and some villagers fished out the bodies . Police seized the bodies and sent them to the district headquarter hospital for autopsy, said Narayan Barik, the Additional Superintendent of Police of Jajpur.
