Jajpur, Dec. 14: In a significant development, the Odisha Cabinet on Monday approved for establishment a medical college at Jajpur town. The proposed college will be set up with Rs 426. 51 crore.
The medical college will have 100 seats for students and 500 beds, which will benefit the people of Jajpur and Bhadrak districts, said Taraprasad Mishra, superintendent of the Cuttack Circle Public Works department.
Jajpur MLA Pranab Kumar Das played a crucial role in setting up the medical college.
The work will be overseen by Arun Kumar Patnaik, Executive Engineer, Public Works Department. The news has been hailed in Jajpur district.
Jajpur MLA Pranab Prakash Das has thanked chief minister Naveen Patnaik for approving the medical college plan.
