JAJPUR,23/09(PPT):Jajpur Collector Amber Kumar Kar says quick redressal of public grievances and improving the public service delivery system will be his top priority. Immediately after taking office, he took stern action against a couple of officials for lapses in public grievances redressal, having chargesheeted both of them. Our priority will be to implement the flagship schemes of the government and redress public grievances (received on the Sampark portal and during Jan Sunvai) in a time-bound manner. The main objective of the government is to improve the public service delivery system by ensuring timely delivery while ensuring quality. The schemes include free medicine and medical tests scheme, pension schemes and various social welfare schemes Added Collecter . Stressing on improving public health infrastructure and setting it as his top priority, He says that it stands as his top priority to focus on as people tend to spend exorbitantly to meet mounting medical expenses. In an interview with Our Repoter , the collector shares that significance would be given to preventive and tertiary care as well. “We should address health issues at the grassroots level by giving preference to preventive care. At tertiary care level, measures should be considered to facilitate it free of cost, for the urban poor in particular. For this to become a reality, public health infrastructure along with service delivery systems should be enhanced,” the collector emphasises.
