Jajpur,05/12(PPT): Senior BJD leader and former Odisha finance minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadai’s 84nd birth anniversary was observed at Dhabalgiri in Jajpur district onThursday.Besides, the birthday celebrations were organised at many other places like Danagadi, Kalinganagar and Sukinda.On the occasion a book titled ‘Jananeta’ was released by Mr Ghadai. The book chronicled articles by eminent persons on the contributions of Mr Ghadai to Sukinda, Jajpur and Odisha.Fruits and medicines were distributed to patients at various hospitals to mark the occasion. Poor people were given away winter clothes like blankets and sweaters. “Sukinda is very dear to my heart. I love the people of this area very much. I will work for these people all through my life,” said Mr Ghadai.”Prafulla Ghadai always stood with us. Today, we are happy that he came to us and distributed winter clothes to the poor and fruits to the patients,” Naresh Mahant, a local tribal, said .A mega blood donation camp was organised, which was inaugurated by his son Former Minster Pritiranjan Ghadei. Pritiranjan encouraged the blood donors. He also distributed fruits and biscuits to patients in the sukinda Headquarters Hospital. Blankets were distributed.
