By Akshya rout Jajpur : Police have arrested on Friday Rakesh Swain the alleged lover of the deceased tribal college girl on the charges of dumping her body at Mulapal Chhack under Kuakhia police station in Jajpur district on Wednesday .Ramakant Nayak the father of the deceased girl filed an FIR in Kuakhia police station on Thursday and alleged that his daughter was killed by Rakesh Swain and others. Father also stated to the police that his daughter had an affair with one Rakesh Swain and Rakesh along with some persons killed his daughter. During investigation, police found that on January 26 morning, the victim girl Jharafula Nayak boarded a bus to Jashipur from Jaydev Vihar but later got off at Vani Vihar Square. On the same night , she and her lover stayed in a hotel in Bhubaneswar. The deceased girl Jharafula Nayak of Brundeipasi village under Jasipur police station in Mayurbhanj was reading plus three Arts in Rama Devi Women’s college at Bhubaneswar, We are raiding hideouts to nab the other accused Sekhar , said the IIC of Kuakhia village Manoj Kumar Swain.A case was registered in this case under 302(murder) and 201 (Causing disappearance of evidence of offence) of IPC and under the provisions of the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. The accused was produced in the court at Jajpur . The court rejected his bail application and remanded him in jail custody, added the police officer.
