JAJPUR,25/11(PPT): MLA Himanshu sekhar Sahoo on Tuesday inaugurated the Ekta Padayatra at Dharmasala Indian Jajpur district to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. Hundreds of students, youth, and government officials participated in the padyatra, carrying a tricolor flag, as they covered a distance of approximately 8 kilometers from Nakpol to Kaima. The event is part of the Ekta Year celebrations, aimed at promoting unity and integrity across the state and country. In his address, MLA Himanshu described the padyatra as a symbol of Indian unity and a reminder of citizens’ responsibility to uphold national integrity.He emphasized the significance of jajpur in the freedom movement, The MLA called for unity across diverse groups, stressing that the nation’s strength lies in its unity in diversity. He also highlighted the government’s commitment to youth welfare, urging them to contribute to the nation’s progress. MP Rabindra behera Said Ekta Padayatra was “not merely a march but a symbol of Indianness,” reflecting every citizen’s duty to preserve national unity. District Collector Amber Kumar Kar Said the crucial role of youth in fulfilling Sardar Patel’s vision of a united India. He highlighted Patel’s immense contributions to the nation especially his leadership in the farmers’ movement and his decisive role as deputy Prime Minister in shaping India’s unity. The event was attended by several prominent figures, Including Bjp Leader Pradip kumar Parida,Jitendra Rout,Rajesh kumar Pal,Ayushman Priyadarshan& other official were present.
