Jajpur ,21/09(PPT ):A large free health camp was organised at Byasadev Town Hall here on Sunday as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, an initiative organised to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service and commitment to public welfare. The camp was organised by the BJP under the leadership of Korei MLA and Jajpur District Planning Board chairman Akash Das Nayak and was held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 2,000 people availed themselves of medical consultations, diagnostic tests and medicines during the camp.
Specialist doctors from various departments attended to patients. The medical team included Dr Satik Khasim Bari (diabetology), Dr Siddhartha Patnaik (neurology), Dr Shubham Patnaik (medicine), Dr Abhilash Baral (orthopaedics), Dr Sanjana Sahu (ophthalmology), Dr Puja Nayak (dermatology), Dr Bhagyalaxmi Nayak (ENT), Dr Snehabarsha Mishra and Dr Pritinanda Priyadarshini (paediatrics), among others. Two dentists, optometrist Monalina Swain, 15 nursing students, three laboratory staff members, an ECG technician and two pharmacists assisted in patient examination and diagnostic services. A ‘Magic Mirror’ facility was also made available for advanced health screening.
Jajpur district BJP president Debjani Pradhan, Kalinganagar Additional District Magistrate Sapan Kumar Nanda, Byasanagar Additional Tahasildar Prashant Kumar Puhan, Chief District Medical Officer Nagendra Nath Mahapatra and district Mahila Morcha president Diptimayee Kuanr were among those involved in organising the camp. Several local BJP leaders, workers and councillor Ashok Kumar Rout were also present.
