JAJPUR,11/10(PPT):Durga Puja is a significant and widely celebrated festival in West Bengal, also known as Durgotsava. This auspicious occasion holds great importance for Hindus and is observed in various regions, including parts of Bihar Jharkhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and Odisha. The festival begins on the sixth day of Navratri, known as Shashti Tithi, and concludes on Dashami Tithi, marking the 10th day of Navratri. In 2024, Durga Puja will commence on October 9 (Shashti) and culminate with the immersion of the Durga idol on October 13 (Vijayadashami).
