Jajpur,26/09(PPT) : AICC member and Congress women’s leader Madhusmita Acharya has demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over concerns raised by the Congress regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Participating in the party’s protest in Bhubaneswar, Ms. Acharya called for greater transparency in the revision process and protection of voters’ rights, saying electoral institutions must maintain public confidence and ensure that every eligible voter is able to exercise their franchise. The protest was part of the Congress’s wider campaign against the SIR exercise and its demand for the CEC’s resignation.
