Jajpur,29/09(PPT): Dharmasala MLA Himanshu Sekhar Sahoo has contributed 5 lakh from his monthly salary towards the treatment of 16-month-old Trisika Ray, who is suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type-2, a rare and serious neuromuscular disorder.
Trisika, daughter of Mukesh Chandra Ray of Ramapur village under Areikana gram panchayat, is undergoing treatment, with her family facing a severe financial burden. The cost of medicines and treatment has been estimated at around 16 crore, according to information available to the family.
Mr. Sahoo extended the financial assistance to support the child’s treatment and provide relief to her family during the difficult period. The family expressed gratitude for the assistance, saying it would help them continue their efforts to arrange the funds required for Trisika’s treatment.
