JAJPUR,29/09(PPT); Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, who participated in BJP’s membership drive organised at Barchana in Jajpur, trained guns at the former BJD government over large-scale irregularities in the State in the name of development. He was addressing a meeting of the saffron party at Budhakendua village under Barachana block in Jajpur district .Cm Majhi launched a sharp attack on three unnamed BJD leaders, accusing their families of looting Jajpur under the guise of development. Speaking at a public event, Majhi claimed that these families have failed to deliver justice to the people and have played a significant role in the degradation of the region. “Three families have looted Jajpur in the name of development. These leaders have not given justice to the people and have only contributed to the destruction of the area,” said Majhi without directly naming the individuals. “BJD ruled the State for 24 years. The BJD leaders, who were representing Jajpur, never refrained themselves from acting as slaves. Jajpur is rich in mines and minerals. In addition to the allegations of corruption, CM Majhi announced a comprehensive investigation into the death of lady Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) Smitarani Biswal. Her mysterious death has sparked widespread outrage and demands for justice. Majhi assured the public that strict action will be taken against those found guilty in the investigation. Around 15 tribal kids of Nagada hillock died of malnutrition within three months in 2016. But the woes of the tribal people are yet to be abated due to gross negligence on the part of the BJD government , added Majhi.Majhi and other BJP leaders listened to Maan Ki Baat of the Prime Minister in the meeting with the crowd. The meeting was also addressed by , Sukinda MLA and Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta, Barchana MLA Amar Kumar Nayak , Dharmasala MLA Himanshu Sahoo, Gautam Ray the president of the district unit of BJP and other leaders.
